Nature´s own deodorant
Even the ancient Egyptians used mineral crystals as a deodorant.
DO2 has a mild astringent effect, i.e. it tightens the pores of the skin, but at the same time, DO2 allows the skin to breathe and to exude waste products. Consequently, DO2 does not interfere with the natural balance of the body unlike traditionally produced deodorants.
DO2 does not contain alcohol, oil, perfume or any other nasty additives that can irritate the skin. If you like, you may add your own personal perfume that you know is tolerated by your skin.
DO2 does not discolour your clothes.

The natural alum crystals in DO2 are skin-friendly, disinfecting and destroy the bacteria that cause the unpleasant body odour or "the smell of deodorant" for at least 24 hours.

Alum crystals

The chemical composition of alum or aluminium sulphate is
NH4 AL ( SO4 )2 12H2O
In the past, alum crystals were generated in nature as a "fluid extract" from the ground in small holes during winter. The crystals would form in the sunshine of summer. Alum crystals were used by the Egyptians for thousands of years, and since then alum has been used all over the world - particularly in the hot countries around the Mediterranean and in the Far East.

Alum has no harmful effects on the skin or the natural balance of the body. On the contrary, alum is a completely up-to-date product with excellent, well-documented properties:
Disinfecting (a gentle bactericide).
Astringent (tightens the pores of the skin while letting the skin breathe).

For this reason, alum is used today for a variety of purposes, for instance, in medicine as a haemostatic, to heal minor wounds and scratches in the mouth and all over the body (- in the past, alum was available as crystals or a solution for healing minor cuts from shaving). It is also used as a mordant in dyeing and for leather tanning, to remove unpleasant odours from shoes, boots, etc. and lastly, but by no means least, as a natural deodorant ( and a mild antiperspirant) for the whole body.

These days, the crystals are produced by a process of crystallization of a mixture of ammonium sulphate and aluminium sulphate. It may also be produced by treating aluminium sulphate and sulphuric acid with ammonium gas.

Using the alum crystals as a saturated solution in water provides the best and most comfortable effect when used in a spray.

For the whole body

DO2 is mildly acidic with a pH value of 3.2 and can be used all over the body
- for the armpits, for sweaty hands and for intimate hygiene areas to not only remove odour but also for use against fungal infections.

It can also be used on the feet or for spraying inside shoes and boots to remove unpleasant odours.

DO2 can even be used for healing minor scratches.

Activated by water
DO2 The mineral crystals in DO2 are activated as soon as the bottle is filled with ordinary or boiled, cooled water.
It can be refilled as long as the crystals are not completely dissolved, on average approximately 10 times, corresponding to 5 full bottles.
DO2 takes up very little space and is ideal for your sports bag and or suitcase.

Handy hints
Please remember always to replace the cap after use.
DO2 is a natural product, and crystals may clog up the pump. If this should happen, place the pump in warm water and depress it a couple of times to clear the nozzle.
